ShieldHub (“ShieldHub,” “our,” “us,” or “we”) is a digital marketing platform and supply-side monetization solution. We curate and aggregate premium advertising inventory from various trusted suppliers and partners. Our platform provides programmatic buyers with access to high-quality inventory from vetted publishers and media owners (“Clients”).

This Privacy Notice explains what personal information (“Personal Data”) ShieldHub collects, how we use it, and how we protect it when you interact with our corporate website, contact us, or engage with our sales and marketing activities (“you,” “your”).

This Privacy Notice does not cover data that may be collected through our ad technology services when you interact with advertisements or media placements delivered via our platform. That information is explained in our Commercial Services Privacy Notice.

  1. What Personal Data Do We Collect, for What Purposes and on Which Legal Ground?

ShieldHub collects Personal Data via website only for two specific purposes:

  1. Data collected for the purpose of providing information about our services and for promotional/marketing purposes: Please note that our website includes a contact form where you can request additional information about our services and subscribe to our newsletter. The data collected through the contact form and newsletter subscription may include:
  • Name and surname,
  • Email address,
  • Phone numb

Additionally, you may choose to provide the following optional information: Job title, Company name and type, Country, Industry segment or category. All of this data is provided by you voluntarily. We process it based on our legitimate interest – to inform you about our services and sending you promotional offers and related information.

You may request that we stop sending you such information at any time by unsubscribing.

  1. Data collected for recruitment purposes: Our website includes a Careers page, where you can submit your information if you wish to be considered for potential career opportunities or to apply for currently listed vacancies. The information we collect during this process includes:
  • Basic personal details: name, surname, email address, and phone number,
  • Qualifications: CV, cover letter, salary expectations, and other relevant documentation to support the recruitment process,
  • References: where applicable or requested.

You may also voluntarily provide additional information such as your photo, LinkedIn profile, personal website/portfolio, and/or details on how you learned about the position.

This information is necessary to assess your qualifications and suitability for employment with us and to take steps prior to entering into an employment contract. If you are offered and accept a position with us, the information collected during the application and recruitment process will become part of your employment record. More information on how we process employee data will be provided with your employment offer.

Please note that you are under no obligation to provide the requested Personal Data. However, if you choose not to provide certain required information which is required to go through the necessary steps prior to entering into a contract with you, we may not be able to proceed with your application.

Additionally, based on our legitimate interest in maintaining a pool of potential candidates, we may retain your CV in our database for up to one year in order to contact you about future roles that match your profile—unless you have opted out of receiving such updates. You may request the deletion of your data from our candidate database at any time.

  1. Data Sharing and Transfers

ShieldHub may share Personal Data, subject to appropriate data processing agreements, with carefully selected third parties with whom we need to cooperate in order to perform our services or manage our recruitment activities. Your Personal Data may be shared, for example, with the following third parties for the purposes outlined below:

  • IT systems providers: Hosting providers, HR database, etc.
  • CRM tools and analytics providers,
  • Affiliates and subsidiaries under common ownership, based on intragroup data processing agreement,
  • Vendors that help optimize and support our recruitment process, such as recruitment agencies, etc.
  • Legal authorities, if required by law
  • Parties involved in defending ShieldHub’s rights and interests

All of our third-party vendors are located within the European Economic Area (EEA). If we ever need to transfer your Personal Data to a vendor or authority outside the EEA, please be assured that we will only do so in accordance with applicable data protection laws, such as conducting a Transfer Impact Assessment and implementing Standard Contractual Clauses.

Please note that we will never sell your Personal Data or share it with any third party without valid legal grounds.

We retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined above, specifically:

  • For marketing purposes: up to 3 years from your last interaction, unless you unsubscribe earlier.
  • For future recruitment purposes in our candidate database: 1 year from your last application, unless you request otherwise.

Please note that, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights with respect to your Personal Data:

  • To access a copy of your Personal Data, along with information about the Personal Data we process, the legal basis for processing, the purposes of processing, the categories of recipients, and other relevant information related to your Personal Data.
  • To request correction or deletion of your Personal Data, provided there is no other legal basis justifying its retention.
  • To object to the processing of your Personal Data in cases where such processing is based on tasks carried out in the public interest or on legitimate interest.
  • To restrict processing: You may request that your data not be processed during the period in which we are deciding on your complaint regarding the legality or accuracy of the data, or where legitimate interest is outweighed by your rights, or in situations where you wish for your data to be retained for potential legal claims.
  • To request data portability: You have the right to request that your data be transferred to another organization.
  • To lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence or with the authority of our establishment – the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta (IDPC).
